As an experienced runner, having run for over ten years and always doing things “my way,” I was skeptical about using a coach. I've never had coaching before; training by myself for half-marathons, full marathons, and 50k’s. However, I was greatly surprised to find how rewarding the process is, especially as I am getting older and seeking more challenging and fulfilling running experiences.
Corey, set up a comprehensive training program based on my busy schedule and did an excellent job of preparing me physically, mentally, and logistically for many races from1/2 marathons, marathons, 50ks and for my longest racing endeavor, the JFK 50 miler. He continues to be instrumental in helping me accomplish the goals I strive for.
With Corey as my coach, I have someone else who cares about me and my running as much as I do! He keeps me motivated, teaches me new skills and provides plans that improve my performance, and helps me mentally keep myself motivated while maintaining a positive outlook.

I've always enjoyed running but wanted to get faster. Corey started a running program and after a few months I ran my fastest 10k ever and after a few more months I shattered every pr I had from 5k to a full sub 4 hour marathon. His guidance and running principles helped me to achieve goals I never thought were possible.
I ran track in high school but that was nearly 10 years ago. I wanted to get back into running but didn’t know where or how to start. Corey helped me by writing up a running schedule to prepare myself for a half marathon. I was able to follow along and he provided useful coaching tips to help me improve my running flow. I was able to complete my first half marathon under my goal! I currently signed up for my second half marathon and will be prepping for a full marathon.
I have never considered myself a runner. When I first started last year I couldn’t even do a half mile without being exhausted. Corey created an awesome schedule for my boyfriend and I to follow to get us ready for a 1/2 marathon. We followed the schedule and we were able to run the race and we felt awesome! It was amazing and I can officially say I now feel like a runner.
I began running in 7th grade when my school started a cross country team. I ran my first marathon (and my first "real" race) at the age of 18. I've completed 2 marathons, 15 half marathons, numerous 5Ks & 10ks, and a few other distances here and there. My race pace stayed relatively consistent throughout the years, averaging between 9:00 & 10:00 minute miles. As I became more dedicated and focused, I was able to get my average race pace below 9:00 minute miles. I was not able to make any major improvements until I started working with Corey. Corey provided a structured plan, a purpose for each training run, and personalized support. The first race I completed after training with Corey was a 5K. I knocked over 2 minutes off my PR finishing with a 7:47 pace, and placed 3rd in my age group! Since then, I have used what I learned from Corey and continued to improve. I've been consistently running 5Ks, 10Ks, and Half Marathons in under 8:00 minute miles.
